
Cultural Fair at
Lynnwood Light Rail Opening
As part of the Lynnwood City Center Light Rail Station Grand Opening on August 30, 2024, Brock partnered with Asian Service Center to include a cultural fair & stage with a dozen organizations.

Connect Casino Road
For the community-based organization Connect Casino Road to conduct outreach to minority-owned businesses about the potential impact of a light rail extension, Brock secured funding through the American Public Transportation Association, a fiscal sponsorship by Futurewise, and support from Sound Transit. A video was produced to highlight what the organization heard from the community and in their advocacy to local leaders and the media.

Equity Committee for Everett Station Convergence Collaborative
As part of the “Convergence at Everett Station Collaborative,” Brock established an equity committee to establish equity principles and hold the collaborative accountable to those principles. The vision of the Convergence Collaborative is to create an equitable transit-oriented community in the neighborhood around Everett Station.

Recommendations to Seattle Parks Department on how to embed equitable engagement and policy strategies into agency
In 2018, Brock was part a contracted team to recommend improvements for the Seattle Parks & Recreation Department to better support community partnerships for parks. Brock’s portion was focused on equitable engagement strategies and equity policy improvements. Full Report / Brock’s Contribution

Equity Caucus for State Transportation Campaign
As the Field Director of the Transportation for Washington Campaign (2011-13), Brock managed the creation of an equity caucus of 22 organizations that established equity principles for the campaign and provided overall strategic guidance. The Transportation for Washington Campaign was foundational for the eventual legislative passage of the Connecting Washington transportation funding package in 2015. Brock was also responsible for building the overall coalition of more than 200 public officials and organizations that represent labor, business, social justice, housing, faith, health, and environment communities, and thousands of community members.
