Healthy Business Streets Guide
Working closely with the Washington State Department of Health, Seattle-King County Health Department, and Seattle Department of Transportation during the early phases of the COVID-19 Pandemic in 2020, Brock produced the “Healthy Business Streets Guide” to assist municipalities and businesses in implementing outdoor dining and other street reconfigurations to promote social distancing and maintaining the local economy. Brock was the main contributor of the written and isometric illustrative content, as well as the overall layout and design of the publication.

The Yard at Everett Station, 2023
During the summer of 2023, converted one block of street in front of Everett Station into a public park with FieldTurf and picnic tables, activated on Wednesdays with a farmers market and Fridays with food trucks and live music.

Outdoors on The Ave, 2020-21
Volunteered on Outdoors on The Ave Steering Committee that designed, built community support, and implemented expanded outdoor dining options on University Way NE (The Ave) in Seattle’s U District during the summer of 2021. The short-term goal was to support minority-owned businesses during the COVID-19 Pandemic, and the long-term goal was to build support for pedestrianization of The Ave. Brock produced the design schematics for the project, conducted business outreach, assisted with permitting, and helped in setting-up the street. The project has since continued on in other forms.

Everett Station Little Free Library, 2024
Converted an old phone booth into a Little Free Library and wayfinding sign near Everett Station. Brock secured funding, designed the maps and signs, and installed the shelving.
